#teampink and #teamblue

Boy, girl, unisex? – When we talk about gender specific clothing or nursery it seems as if we discuss something as sensitive as politics or religion.

I had very good talks about gender topics over the last weeks: about identity, biological gender, sex and personality. Because of course the question of “Is it a boy or a girl?” stayed and since  it is clear that we are expecting a girl, two other questions followed: “How do you think about pink?” and “Will she have to wear her hair long too?”

Heiki reads: Hautnah by Dr. Yael Adler

Healthy skin, healthy hair, right? So I had great expectations reading this book

Unfortunately for you it is another book which is only available in German. So I cut short on my translation again, especially as this book is none I want to recommend but a book I would say… you can ignore.

Alternative information concerning skin health

If you are really interested in skinhealth check out the YouTube channel from Holistic Habits. The Oil Cleansing Method she shows helped me a lot and she offers also much more advice for skin and overall health which can help you even if you or neither vegan nor vegetarian.
The Gut: The inside story of our body’s most underrated organ explains very well the interaction between a healthy intestine and colon and a healthy overall body (including especially the skin).
Very practical advice and nice recipes can be found in The Beauty Detox Solution by Kimberly Snyder.
And if you are really interested in hormones and how they affect also our looks It starts with food by the Hartwigs is a good start.

Also I have already written an arcticle about skin and nutrition almost exactly one year ago whuich sums up what I consider to be the most important.

So no book recommendation today, but often it is also helpful to know what not to buy. 🙂 Money saved.
