Zweite Runde Langhaarspaß aus dem Allgäu!
Um all diese Zöpfe fertig zu stellen haben wir den ganzen Nachmittag gebraucht. Und als wir fertig waren, mit allen Zöpfen… da war die Sonne weg. Wir sind zwar noch über die Straße gespurtet für ein letztes Fitzelchen Sonnenuntergang, aber naja, Straße im Hintergrund eben. Letztlich nicht so schlimm, die Kastanie hier war auch ohne Sonne ein wundervoller Hintergrund. Ihr kennt das Setting schon von ein paar der Längenbilder.
Second round of longhair fun from the allgäu! To finish all theses braids we really needed all afternoon. And as we were finally finishes… the sun was down. We sprintetet over the street to catch a tiny bit of remaining sunrays, but well, street in the background. In the end it was not too bad as the chestnut tree made a wonderful background for us even without sunshine. You already know this setting from or lengthpictures.

Das hier sind dann all die Zöpfe, die ich geflochten habe. Nickikes Zopf musste ich zweimal machen. Sie hatte ich zuerst eingeflochten noch ohne französischen Anfang, außerdem zerfiel der Zopf im Nacken rasch wieder. Kurz: Ich war nicht zu frieden und habe dann noch mal neu angefangen. Dafür gefallen mir die Vierer-Akzentzöpfe sehr.
The following braids were all done by me. Nickikes Braid was the first and I had to braid it twice because for the first attempt I did no french braid for the start and somehow her braid was sagging at her nape. In brief: I was not satisfied with the result and made a redo. But I am really pleased with the fourstrand accent braids.

Die Haartraumpose… ist auch einfach zu gut! The haartraum-pose… it is just too good!

Lenas Zopf habe ich als zweites geflochten, auch noch ohne französische Basis, das hatte ich nämlich danach erst bei Zoey gesehen, die von Nessa unterdessen eingeflochten worden war. Da mir das Ergebnis auch unfranzösosch gut gefallen hat, durfte der Zopf so bleiben. Die doppelten Fischgrätenakzente werten finde ich schön auf.
Lena’s braid was the second I worked on, still with no frnech start, as I just noticed that Nessa did so on Zoey, when I finished off Lena’s braid. As I was happy with the non-french braid especially with the double fishtail accents the braid was allowed to stay as it was.

Ich sag doch, zu gut. / I told you. Just too good.

Nessas Zopf ist quasi Kollaborationsarbeit. Die Akzentzöpfe haben Zoey und Andrea gemeinsam geflochten (jede eine Seite des Kopfes), ich habe den Wovenfishtail angeschlossen.
Nessa’s braid was a collaboration braid. Her accentbraids were done by Zoey and Andrea, each working on one side, I made the wovenfishtail.  

Nessa pancaket dann doch noch mutiger als ich. Dass die blonde Zopfquaste so lang ist, liegt daran, dass wir losgespurtet sind, um letzte Sonne abzugreifen. Nessa pancakes a bit more confident, than I do. That the blonde tassle kept that long happend because I finished off the braid a bit too early to catch some last sunrays.

 

Nächstes Mal, wenn ich jemand Flechtwilliges finde, übe ich mich in Hundeblicken und verlange diesen Doppel-Lacebraid-Half-up an meinem Kopf. Next time I get hold of a braiding friend I will practice big puppy eyes and ask for such a double lacebraid half-up on my own head.

Und das Einhorn war schließlich mein letzter Zopf. Eigentlich wollte Nessa sie einflechten, aber wir sind dann übereingekommen, dass sie Andrea flechtet und ich das Einhorn, weil wir die beiden Schöpfe so gesehen ja seltener in den Händen haben.
Ich finde man sieht, dass ich den Dreh jetzt raus habe. Gerade der französische Anfang hat es mir schwer gemacht, die Haare so aufuzteilen, dass ich im Nacken dann auch alles dazu addiert hatte, es stramm genug war, ohne zu zerfallen, dabei schön breit gezogen und mit nicht zu dicken Fischgrätensträhnen am Anfang.
And the unicorn was my last braid that evening. At first Nessa claimed the opportunity to braid her hair but as we commited on me taking the unicorn and her taking Andrea because we both only have rare opportunites to braid theses manes we shared the work well. And I think you see know that practice is all you need to improve your braiding. Especially the french start of the wovefishtail caused me some troubles to seperate and add in the strands so that I have all hair gathered when I reach the nape, no sagging, tight enough but still a loose pancaked look.

Meinen Zopf hat dann natürlich Nessa geflochten. Und ich sitze da noch und sage: „Oh nein, ich habe meine Flip-in-Extensions vergessen!“
Was nicht schlimm war. Ich finde, der Zopf braucht keine zusätzliche Verdichtung (auch wenn ich grundsätzlich ein Freund von so fetten Zöpfen wie nur möglich bin) und das Nylonband hätte sicherlich ganz schön gezwiebelt, da ich mir an dem Tag den Scheitel verbrannt habe.
Ich finde mich ganz zauberhaft und das will was heißen. Ich muss immer noch ein bisschen üben, was das Haarselbstbewusstsein angeht. Ich habe immer ein bisschen Sorge dann am Ende doch mit einem dünnen Zöpfchen dazustehen, dass nur eine Mutter lieben kann…
My braid then was done by Nessa of course. And I was sitting there, proclaiming: „Oh no, I forget to bring my flip-in extensions with me!“ Which turned out not to be that bad. In my eyes this braid needs no more extra thickness (even though I am one of these persons who love braids the bigger the better) and the nylon yarn might have caused some pain that day as I had a sunburn on my part. Anyways, I look at me here and think I look pretty. And that means a lot! I still have to practice hairselflove. Because I always worry to end up with a puny little braid which only a mother can love…
